United Eyes Arsenal Target in Transfer Talks

Manchester United has reportedly engaged in negotiations with the representatives of Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu regarding the possibility of acquiring the 24-year-old this summer.

Kadioglu's future is the subject of much speculation as his country advanced to the quarter-finals at Euro 2024.

Brighton & Hove Albion have been discussing a prospective deal for the Turkey international, while Arsenal has been heavily linked with the full-back.

Nevertheless, Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has reported that Man United is also interested in Kadioglu, and the Red Devils have allegedly been in contact with Kadioglu's agents.

According to the report, the 20-time English champion has inquired about the contract's provisions and is interested in learning about his wage demands.

Man United 'emerge' as possible contenders for Kadioglu

Kadioglu has already appeared for Fenerbahce on three occasions this season, scoring once in his three appearances during the Champions League qualification phases.

The Turkish Titans can demand a substantial transfer fee for the left-back, who is under contract until June 2026. This is particularly true given the numerous clubs interested in his services.

In July 2018, the defender transferred from NEC to Fenerbahce. He has since played for his current team on 202 occasions, contributing 18 goals and 22 assists.

Man, United is concerned about their left-back position in the upcoming season. Tyrell Malacia remains unavailable due to a severe knee injury, and Luke Shaw encountered muscular issues during the previous season.

This summer, Manchester United may recruit a new left-back.
Shaw will be the primary left-back if he is healthy in the upcoming season. However, Man United is apprehensive about his persistent injury issues, and Malacia was absent for the entirety of the 2023-24 season.

The Red Devils are in the process of finalizing a deal to acquire Bayern Munich's Noussair Mazraoui. The Morocco international is expected to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is transferring to West Ham United.

Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot are anticipated to compete for the right-back position, and Matthijs de Ligt is anticipated to join the club from Bayern to provide additional defensive options.

Harry Amass, 17, has emerged as a viable candidate for the left-back position in the upcoming season; however, he has yet to appear in a senior competitive match for the Red Devils.

It is anticipated that Man United will be extremely active in the final phases of the transfer window. Additionally, the club is believed to be considering signing an additional attacker if Jadon Sancho departs.
