Dusan Vlahovic has been told that he is "not worthy" of being Juventus' striker because he is not as good as Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez.
In January 2022, Juve paid a lot of money to get Vlahovic away from Fiorentina, a rival team in Serie A.
Ronaldo left for Manchester United in the summer of 2021 after scoring over 100 goals for Juventus over three seasons. He was supposed to help fill the empty hole when Ronaldo left.
Even though Vlahovic wears the No. 9 shirt in Turin, he has only scored 41 goals in 101 games. He is only 24 years old, meaning he has yet to reach his full potential.
However, people still wonder if he is the best long-term choice to lead the line at Allianz Stadium.
According to Francesco Oppini, a football expert, Vlahovic could be better than his famous predecessors in the central striking position.
He told Tuttomercatoweb, "Juventus hasn't had a striker of Cristiano Ronaldo's caliber since, so all the other talk is blown away by the wind, along with the recent glorious memories of immortal strikers like Tevez first and [Gonzalo] Higuain then."
Vlahovic is not a scorer worthy of Juventus and 12 million euros annually.
Vlahovic has an excellent deal that will last until 2026. His name has often come up in trade rumors, though, and a move to the Premier League is often mentioned. It remains to be seen if his deal in Italy will be honored.
