Zirkzee's Debut Magic Steals Three Points for Man United

In the first game of the 33rd Premier League season, Joshua Zirkzee scored a late goal for Manchester United to beat Fulham.

After getting off to a slow start, the Red Devils got going, and captain Bruno Fernandes made two good saves by Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno in the first half at Old Trafford.

Mason Mount wants to put an injury-filled season behind him, but he missed a great chance early in the second half. His close-range shot was blocked again by the defiant Fulham goalie.

Ten Hag, the manager of Man United, tried to change things by making a lot of replacements in the second half. Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt both made their debuts.

Ultimately, Zirkzee's addition was brilliant because the former Bologna scorer scored the game-winning goal in the 87th minute.

The Dutchman entered the box at the right time to meet Alejandro Garnacho's inviting pass. He then put in a calm first-time finish that Leno couldn't reach.

After setting up a goal, Garnacho had a great chance to score himself, but the Argentine worked together to drag the ball harmlessly wide of the Fulham goal.

Even though Garnacho missed a late goal, it didn't cost Man United the game, and Ten Hag ended his third season as manager with a close win.

Leno should have been given an honorable mention because he made some great saves during the game.

On the other hand, Leno's play won't get much attention because Zirkzee scored the game-winning goal that got Man United off to a great start.

The Dutch player came on at the hour mark, but he played like a star right away, even though it was his first game for Man United, and he was under much pressure.

The first goal of the 2024–25 Premier League season was scored by Zirkzee, who showed off his goal-scoring skills with a fine first-time finish.
