Manchester United have been offered a chance to strengthen their midfield by acquiring free agent Yusuf Yazici.
This summer, United bolstered their midfield by signing Manuel Ugarte. However, with the departures of Scott McTominay, Donny van de Beek, and Hannibal, the Red Devils may still seek additional reinforcements in this area.
Although the transfer window has closed, the option to sign free agents remains, which applies to Yusuf Yazici, who left Lille three months ago. The Turkish midfielder made over 40 appearances for the Ligue 1 club last season, and according to HITC, United are among several clubs that have been offered the 27-year-old.
Graeme Bailey, a reporter from HITC, has revealed that Manchester United, along with Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa, have been given the opportunity to sign Yazici. The midfielder is reportedly seeking a fresh start after his contract in France ended and has attracted significant interest from clubs looking to bolster their midfield, though he has yet to commit to a new club.
Galatasaray appears to be leading the race, with a return to his home country seemingly appealing to the player, who has earned 45 caps for Turkey.
However, any deal involving United signing Yazici would likely require Christian Eriksen to depart first, a move that now seems improbable. While adding more quality to the midfield would be desirable, the likelihood of this transfer materializing appears slim, given the many factors that would need to align quickly.
